“I wanted a place I can get away from the hussle in life and this was the right place to go. This place is amazing and I would recommend this wonderful location to anyone. This one bedroom cottage has wonderful walking/running trail on the 15 acres, the outside fire pit for wonderful roasted marshmallow’s, a charcoal grill to make steaks/chicken/wings hmmm delicious, a nice outside chair set to have a relaxing dinner, a hot tub to relax and watch the stars at night, a chess/checkers set outside to plays games with, and also a hot breakfast every morning from the WONDERFUL OWNERS (real home cooked meals that were amazing!!!!) I had cheese omelets, apple, and cherry muffins one day and man that blew it out of the park. Also, inside the cottage is a wonderful full kitchen to cook if you want, a spacious living room to watch movies, the king size bed is so fluffy and felt like heaven. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. I stayed in the bigger cottage and highly recommend this place. Please book this place and tell all your friends/family about this place.”

“We adored this little cottage a few miles from downtown. We loved the nature around us. Gazing the stars in the hot tub is a must. Also everything that you need is supplied for you. They allowed us to take our “bigger than 50lb” dog which meant the world too us. Hike the Beachum trail it’s gorgeous and they do allow dogs. And yes the bed is like a cloud!! Thank you so much.”

“This is seriously the best place we have ever stayed. The cottage is so romantic, surreal, and the perfect getaway for any couple. The hospitality, scenery, and not mention the best breakfast i have ever eaten. We will always stay here to rejuvenate our relationship every year. Thanks for all that you guys do to make this the best stay every year!!!”

June 2017“I’m quite taken with places that have no commercialism. Am grateful to Bill & Denise for sharing this spot with we the public. The bedroom was adequate, the kitchen was adequate, I was over the moon to have a stackable washer/dryer and also be able to bring our dogs with us. Unfortunately my husband and I both never got to use our own private hot tub and patio… It was so special for us to enjoy the grounds on which our cabin sat. It was a JOY to look out at the field beyond, the “huge European chess set”, the decorative metal rooster. We went for a walk on the grounds one morning. LOVED the quietude and being able to return to this tranquil spot after enjoying Eureka Springs. We were there 2.5 days and I believe I shall remember it always. Just today was raving about the loveliness of the spot to a friend.”

“This was our 4th stay at Stone Meadow and it never disappoints us. The Apple Blossom cabin is amazing, the big cozy bed, wonderful hot tub, amazing view, and the breakfast you get. When we talk about to our friends we talk about “our cabin” as if it’s really ours. We love everything about it, and will be going back for hopefully many yrs to come. Thank you!!”

“Stayed in the Apple Blossom Cottage…it was spotless with everything needed for a relaxing and quiet stay. 4 miles from Holiday Island for some easy grocery pickup and 10 miles from Eureka Springs for sights and shopping. Cottage was well appointed with pretty much all needs provided for, very good morning breakfast was delivered the night before to the cottage and the small kitchen and Weber kettle made for some nice and easy dinners from the grill by us in the evening. If you want someplace away from everything just to relax in the Ozarks I would highly recommend!”

“Amazing Getaway!!”

“This is a wonderful resort! It is just like the pictures! The view is amazing! The hot tub is to die for with the spectacular views! The resort is not far from anything to do. There is the cosmic cavern (25min away), branson (45 min away), and eureka springs (20 min away). My fiance and I can’t wait to come back and stay again! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway close to adventures in a beautiful area! You will not be disappointed!”

“Perfect Hideaway”
Feb 2016
“The Apple Blossom Cottage was just the right cozy size to escape it all for our anniversary. It was a very private stay with no distractions or interuptions. It was very clean and well stocked. We had a nice breakfast left for us each morning to heat up when we were ready. It was so relaxing we only left once to drive into Eureka and eat. The rest of our trip we stayed right at the cottage. We were close enough to Eureka yet just far enough away.”

“What a lovely and comfortable place to stay”
Oct 2015
We stayed at the Mockingbird Cottage for three nights in October to celebrate my birthday. What a lovely place Stone Meadow Resort is. The pictures do not do this place justice. The bed was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed hot tubbing under the stars each night after coming back from exploring the wonderful town of Eureka Springs. SMR is located about 20 minutes away from Eureka Springs and offers you tranquility and beautiful views. you are literally located on the Missouri and Arkansas borders. I was not ready to leave this place. Breakfast was a nice touch, but we will be opting to fix our own or go to one of the many cool places that we discovered in town to eat breakfast on our next stay here. It was very nice to wake up there each morning as the sun would start to peak in through the glass and light up the beautiful interior as you lay in bed. I loved stepping out on the deck each morning to take in the hills and farmland that was glistening with dew. Very lovely indeed. If you are needing internet access, it is very limited and spotty out here. This made it tough for us to do some work-related things we needed to on the computer, so we would have to drive in town to even get a hotspot on our phones. We highly recommend staying here and we will be coming back many times to enjoy the accommodations and views. We are considering staying here for three nights of our honeymoon.

“Extremely relaxing.”
March 2015
My husband and I were looking for a quiet, more secluded get-a-way for just the two of us. I saw this 2-person cottage on-line, read the positive reviews, and thought we would give it a try. We brought dinner with us (filets for the grill, vegetable for the microwave, salad makings, and a bottle of wine) and settled in for an extremely relaxing time including ending the evening in the hot tub looking at the stars. The provided breakfast for the next day was waiting for us (and was delicious). We slept in and didn’t check out until 11AM. We weren’t looking for crowds, entertainment, or restaurant meals. There is a store about 5 miles away and also food delivery services posted on the bulletin board for those who don’t want to cook. The cottage was lovely and very well appointed, including a king-sized pillow top bed, wifi and cable, and even a stack of movie DVDs. Denise was extremely friendly and helpful when registering, upon arrival, and even when we were slightly lost due to coming in a different direction from what we said we would. Our one night stay was short but totally enjoyable. We will be returning when we have more time for a longer stay.“Great Experience!”

We stayed in the Mocking Bird cabin and really enjoyed it. The cabin had everything you needed and was very tidy. The breakfasts were yummy. We traveled with our two dogs and there is no fee you have to pay to bring them. The bed is extremely comfortable. Overall, a great experience!

We stayed at the Mockingbird cabin and can hardly wait to return again. It is a lovely area not far from Eureka Springs and many other attractions. The views, quiet, secluded and peaceful surroundings are amazing. The hot tub with robes and delivered breakfasts add to the experience! You are welcome even with your dog(s) and the bed is amazingly comfy. We did not want to leave that is for sure. Thanks to such great owners who care about their tenants and want the experience of staying there to be memorable and enjoyable. I couldn’t recommend staying with them any more than I am, it was top notch and the best ever.

“My husband and my home away from home.”

StoneMeadow has been my husband and mine home away from home for the last 4 years. Everything you could want in a romantic getaway is all nestled into this incredible place. The owners Denise and Bill are very sweet and always leave special touches to each of our stays. To go a lifetime without Denise’s cooking would be unfortunate. She just has a way work flavors…. You can’t go wrong with these cottages.

“Nice and quiet, in the country….my dogs loved it.”
Oct 2015
The cottage was great, very clean and comfortable. Has a nice kitchen and bathroom and bedroom, we stayed in the Apple Blossom. It’s on 16 acres of land to explore, my dogs loved it. There was a hot tub which was great, on a closed in patio, so I could let my dogs hang outside while we were in the hot tub, looking at the stars. Also a little table for coffee in the morning. We opted for the breakfast and whoever made it is a very good cook, everything was very tasty. I had requested gluten free food and I think I am going to have to see if they will send me their recipes, it was delish!!! Nice and quiet, in the country, 10 miles from Eureka Springs. Had a great time, would definitely recommend and would definitely go back there.

We absolutely loved it. I mostly enjoyed the hot tub and the breakfasts. The first morning we had blueberry pancakes and bacon. It was delicious. The outdoor hot tub was great. I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy the hot tub considering it was a little cold outside, but you couldn’t even tell it was cold outside and it was clean too. If I had to complain about something I would say the mattress was a little too soft, but we prefer a hard mattress. Either way I still slept great and we will return in the future.“Refreshing Getaway Retreat!”

We had a great experience staying at Stone Meadow Resort! Our cottage was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The property is located outside Eureka Springs and is a wonderful, private getaway. We can’t wait to come back and visit again!

“Perfect Getaway!”
5 Star Review

December 7, 2014
We stayed at Stone Meadow Resort in the Mockingbird cottage. It was just perfect! We wanted a location that was near Eureka Springs, Arkansas, but that would not be right in town and have some privacy. We couldn’t have asked for more. The drive to Eureka Springs was only about 10 minutes and a grocery store was only about 5 minutes away. We were able to take advantage of cooking dinners at the cottage, with the kitchen stocked with all the necessary cookware one would need (even a blender for our cocktails). We also were able to use the gas grill right on the outside deck. The breakfasts provided by Denise tasted great and were the perfect amount of food for a couple. It was such a nice touch to only have to warm up our breakfasts and not have to worry about planning those meals and buying all the items at the grocery store. We had French toast and bacon, an omelette and muffins, and biscuits and gravy with potatoes. Even providing us with coffee and tea, along with juice, showed how much thought Denise put into making sure our stay was pleasurable. Those little things can go a long way. The king bed was extremely comfortable, and we enjoyed having DISH and Sirius both in the bedroom and living room for the times we weren’t running around in town. The hot tub was fabulous, and the Christmas lights on the fence were a nice touch. We loved sitting in the hot tub with a drink gazing at the stars and talking. We also enjoyed walking around on the property and even strolling way down the country roads just to see what was around. The only negative of the entire place was the living room couch. It could be a little more comfy, but it wasn’t that big of a deal for us since we didn’t sit on it that much. Overall, this was really a great, little getaway, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place. I’m so glad that I did my homework as I always do with Tripadvisor! I could have definitely stayed longer than 3 days.

The wife and I stayed in the Mockingbird cabin, the larger unit, for our anniversary. Despite the proximity of the 2 rentals & seemingly close location of both units to the owner’s personal house, privacy was never an issue! We enjoyed EVERY. PART. OF. THE. PROPERTY! Large open meadow, trail through the trees to a park bench on the edge of the meadow, Life-size checker/chess board & even the 4ft Rooster! They are located well outside of Eureka, which works great if you want a break from the constant hustle & bustle. The lake is actually much closer than we realized, down the country road about 10 mins.

As far as the cabin itself…perfection!!! Wonderful kitchen, cozy living room, awesome bed, functional decks with a hot tub (of course) and a gas grill with an outdoor dining area. Plus the personal touches: journal to leave your thoughts, candles, movies, and card/board games. Only regret: we only had one night there and we didn’t get to try out the grill!

My wife and I spent a few nights at Stone Meadow for a sort of “postponed anniversary” trip. We absolutely loved every second of it! The cottages are the perfect size for a couple on a short getaway. They had everything you need minus 2 meals and clothes! The place was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was wonderful was always waiting in our fridge when we returned from our daily activities. I was so glad we stayed here instead of deeper in Eureka Springs. This place was so much more private and secluded than the cottages in town. We can’t wait to visit again!

“Cute cottage but…”

The cottage was VERY clean. The bed was AMAZING! I was hoping to have a warm breakfast each morning but they delivered the breakfast the night before then we had to heat it up the next morning so to us it wasn’t very good and it was only enough food for one person. We had never been to Eureka Springs and the address said it was IN Eureka just “minutes” from the lake and Downtown Eureka but it’s not.. It took us easily 25 minutes to get downtown and we had a hard time finding the lake. With the cottage being so far from Eureka Springs it wasn’t very convenient for us. The description said a maid came daily but didn’t. We ran out of toilet paper and clean towels. Over all we were disappointed. Would not recommend for a younger couple looking for convenience.

Management Response
Sep 3, 2014
We are sorry to hear that your experience at Stone Meadow Resort was unsatisfactory in any way. We feel it is important to meet our guests expectations and clear up any problems/concerns right away. As confusing as it sounds, Eureka Springs is comprised of a large area. This area includes Downtown and as far North as the Arkansas/Missouri State line & Table Rock Lake (10 miles) and the shoreline of Beaver Lake & The White River (Eureka Springs West) another 10+ miles West. Downtown Eureka Springs is comprised of both Main Street and Spring Street. We apologize for any confusion/inconvenience you may have experienced and are always willing to help our guests find your way around. We do not provide daily maid service. Our housekeeping policy is provided to all guests when they make their reservation and is always available online.

Housekeeping Policy:
Cottage/cabin is stocked to keep you comfortable for FOUR days, and of course, should you need anything please let us know. For stays of 5 days or longer, we provide at least one freshen-up service.

As stated on our Web Site, a Continental breakfast is included with your stay and delivered the night before. Larger/extra portions are always available and we are happy to provide them. We have found over the years, our guests prefer to enjoy breakfast in the privacy of their cottage. Again we apologize for any confusion.

Like many cottages/cabins in the area we strive to give our guests complete privacy and only enter when a guest requests additional items or breakfast is delivered. If you would have called, stopped by the main house/office or left a note in your breakfast basket we would have certainly taken care of your towel and toilet paper issue.

We regret not having these concerns brought to our attention during your stay or at check out. We have always believed, given the opportunity, that if we are unable to address a guest concern in a timely manner then the customer shouldn’t have to pay for those concerns. That is our guarantee!

“Wonderful Home away from Home Cabin!”
4 Stars Review

August, 2014
We were visiting family in the area and used the 1 Bedroom cabin for lodging over a long weekend. We found the cabin to be very well appointed for such use-very nicely decorated and comfortable. The owners have thoughtfully provided most all of what is needed for these types of get-aways. The breakfast (provided the night before for warming at your leisure) was a wonderful “bonus” and was quite tasty! While we mainly used the resort for lodging, there are amenities and activities on the property that we were unable to take advantage of (private hot tub, fire pit area, etc) and the cabin is a short drive to lake access and marina. We found Stone Mountain Resort to be a very positive experience and we would recommend it for those looking for a quiet get away with activities nearby.

My wife had planned this get away without me knowing anything about it for our anniversary and I was very surprised when we got there, I wasn’t sure at first but the place was immaculate when we walked in, nice and cozy and was very comfortable. Nice big hot tub out back that does have some privacy but is also open to a awesome view at night with the moon, nice tabletop grill where we grilled some steaks and we also had breakfast supplied for us each morning which was also very good. We have stayed at other cabins and cottages in the area and this was one of the best. We would definitely recommend this place!

Had a great stay. We couldn’t ask for more for the price. We were worried about the privacy with the cottage so close to the main house, but that was not problem we never saw the owns. The bed was spacious and comfortable. The cottage was very clean and had everything but a dish washer. The hot tub was clean. I have bad legs and after walk the hills all day it was great to relax in after using the grill to cook supper. I was all perfect for us and our Boston Terrier. It is a great place to stay for a couple.

December 26, 2013
My stay was in the Mocking Bird cottage. (they have one other smaller cottage) The cottage was better than expected. Very well thought out. Everything you could possibly need for a short stay was provided. Except dinner, which was fine because the kitchen is fully stocked with stove, fridge, pots, pans and dishes for preparing your own meals. (An they do have dinners as an add on.) The breakfast they provided where simple to reheat tasted good and where very filling. Perfect to start the day of touring. They left them on the porch the night before as to not disturb you in the morning. The hot tub was better than expected also, the pictures on the web sight don’t do it justice, it was really nice and the perfect size for two people. Also a nice little privacy fence kept you secluded while in tub. There is a grocery store 4 miles to the South and the town of Eureka Springs is 10 miles down HWY 23 very easy to find, one right turn out the drive and follow the road. To the North in 1 mile was a service station which also sold small items and beer. My only complaint would be the sleeper couch in the living room is starting to show it’s age and use, the couch cushions don’t have the padding they use too. Also WIFI would be nice but I understand it is a pretty remote area. Neither are enough of a issue that I would not stay here again. In fact I will soon reserve another stay in a different season to see how it is in warmer weather.

Great setting, vistas, value, comfort and service. Top notch from the booking through departure. Denise and SMR provided savory breakfasts, a bubbling hot tub, cushy robes, a great view and everything we needed to live comfortably for four days. Oh, and the walking paths, soaker shower, a liitle bubbly and and on and on! Our dog felt like he was at home and that helped us feel the same way. Not right next to Eureka Springs but 15 minutes is not much of drive especially with the scenery we captured on our trip. Thanks for everything

Stone Meadow was PERFECT! My boyfriend and I stayed for the weekend as a mini-vacation, and everything was wonderful. We stayed in the Apple Blossom cottage, equipped with the most comfortable bed in the world, an extremely nice hot tub, a private patio with a killer view, propane grill (although we prefer charcoal) and free snacks and an amazing breakfast they bring you! I highly recommend exploring the grounds, the pond is beautiful. Oh, you can bring your pets, too!

We searched the internet for hours trying to find the right combination of amenities we were looking for at a price we could afford. Many of the reviews I saw prior to our stay mentioned that it was a pet friendly resort, but this actually made me nervous. Would it smell or have pet hair? Also, its about 10 miles or so from Eureka Springs. Would that be too far? Would the place be clean? We finally chose to make the Apple Blossom our location for our one night 8th anniversary get-away.

WOW! We made the right choice. We will definitely be back, as soon as we get the chance! The view of the meadow from the hot tub was amazing of the trees, birds, and background of the ozark hills. The bed was to die for and the bedding so fluffy and everything was VERY CLEAN! The owners took great care of us but left us alone too. We had breakfast in our fridge (which I worried may be soggy in the morning), actually it was delicious! My husband slept later than me so he got breakfast in bed. I got credit for that even though I didn’t have to cook it, just warmed it in the toaster oven! ;) Vanilla Cinnamon french toast, potatoes, fruit, juice, and fresh ground coffee. Stay here; its great!

Eureka Springs is one of our favorite places to visit, and we usually stay in town. However, we discovered this incredible place via a “pet friendly” Google search. Not only are the rates comparable (in most cases, lower) than the many B&Bs in town, but the lodging is much more comfortable. They only have two cottages on the property, so you feel like you are getting VIP service.

The cottage we stayed in (Apple Blossom) was perfect for us – it comfortably accommodated my husband, me, and our two little dogs. I think their other cottage holds up to four people. There was a small kitchenette, and breakfast/snacks were provided for us daily – homemade and very, very tasty. The bathroom had up to date appliances and plumbing (a plus for a place like Eureka). The bed was luxurious – I think I spent half the trip on it! The dogs enjoyed walks in the surrounding fields; it was as much a vacation for them as it was for us! It’s about 14 miles outside of Eureka, but the trip into town is scenic and peaceful.

We definitely plan on staying here again – it was affordable and worth every penny
